The High is an independent documentary about a group of extreme runners who sought a new challenge by running a race across the highest peaks of the Himalayas. The director approached me about creating a logo and website for the project.
The text of the logo is stacked in such a way that it forms its own mountainous peak, with each layer getting a little wider as you progress downward. The thin, narrow typeface of the word HIGH is literal in its height, but also suggestive of the thin air at high altitudes. In addition, the negative space that divides the logo forms the contour of a mountain range.
